In the glorious town of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania on February 2nd at approximately 7am the ground hog (Punxsutawney Phil) saw his shadow. Even though his accuracy at weather predictions is not correct 100 percent of the time; we might expect to be having 6 more weeks of winter.
Basically, for those of you who don’t know, if the ground hog sees his shadow we supposedly get 6 more weeks of winter (which is something I’m not really looking forward to), and if he doesn’t then “spring will be right around the corner”.
Studies have shown that Punxsutawney Phil has been as accurate as 39% of the time when it comes to determining the weather outcome for the coming months.
I think that even though we may be in for a few more weeks of cold weather, it could possibly shift from cold to warm for some weeks, as it has been for the past few weeks.
Once again, the ground hog saw his shadow, leading us to believe that we are in for another 6 weeks of winter. Thank you Punxsutawney Phil.

I was actually thinking this as soon as I saw Mr. Phil see his shadow. It was quite depressing. Atleast his calculations are only right 39% of the time :). Thank you for your comment.

Well.... Its only winter....
Even though Phil saw his shadow this year, there is a 61% chance that we can still have a decent spring.
