The SimpleTruth about Dieting and Weight Loss
47From watching TV to viewing websites on the internet, we have come to the conclusion that people claim they have secrets to dieting and weight loss and that if we follow them we will lose weight forever, etc. etc. While I don’t believe in any sort of “secret” to dieting and weight loss, I do believe all of their “secrets” revolve around the same system.
When a person thinks that they should lose weight or start dieting, they have to ask their selves if they are really going to stick to it or just do it for a little while. Dieting and weight loss should not be looked at as something that you will only be doing until you get to your desired weight. To be able to obtain and sustain a decent weight, you will have to accept a LIFESTYLE CHANGE. Going from beer, wings, pizza, and fast food to fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and water is a lifestyle change. You can’t eat healthy one week and take the next week off, it has to be a lifelong change.
I know from experience that changing ones eating habits can be a very hard thing to do for a few reasons. The first reason is because eating healthy will burn a hole in your wallet. The second reason is because eating healthy is hard to sustain without craving bad foods.
I can tell you that for the first few weeks of going from beer, pizza, wings, and sodas to eating healthy can stink really badly, but once you have done it for a while you get used to it and then you find ways to tweak your diet so that it can be more enjoyable. For example, with scrambled eggs I like to put cinnamon on top of it, it gives it flavor and helps me not use salt.

There is nothing simple about dieting or weight loss. You can try to simplify it, but you'll get far better results if you dive deep and actually study how the entire process works.
